    Very good point actually. Bottle conditioning and carbonation occurs when the yeasts eat through the small amount of sugar you add when bottling.     Very good question. I have experienced similar issues with some homebrews. I find personally that beers with high IBU's or alpha acids tend to "burn" me more than others.     Re: Pounds and ounces when entering fermentable weight? Sorry to those who have asked for it but I have to agree with Larry. Do the calculation and put it in pounds. Cluttering up the UI with unnecessary extras can be more confusing than helpful.
