I'm a cheapskate :) I hate throwing things out and I'm sure some of my yeasts are older than that. Dunno. (It's also not easy for me to get another pack, so I take my chances. So far so good)

Also remember that you are dealing with a natural product. Unless totally industrialised, no 2 batches will be exactly the same. There are too many variables One batch finishes at 1012, the other at 1010 whereas it seems you have done exactly the same But in your case, follow the advice of...

Do you have a spare keg? If so fill with some water, put pressure and try your picnic tap. Nothing coming out? Remove picnic tap from the beer line. Water spraying all over the place? - picnic tap faulty No mess? - connector :)

How do you know you are at 60-70% attenuation? Maybe a daft question, but if I would spund, I can't take samples
