Overcarbinated Keg

Hi any advice on how to fix an overcarbinated keg other than pushing co2 through the liquid out port. I am in no rush. Thanks
 
pull head pressure, shake the shit out of it, let it settle, pull head pressure off it, taste it at serving pressure, shake the shit out of it, let it settle, pull head pressure off it, taste it at serving pressure....repeat as needed.
 
it may take several tries to get in the correct range, just be patient.
 
Also, turn your gas to the keg off. Once it is where you want, turn it back on to maintain carb

generally you would turn your gas down based on your temp and target pressure and you could leave it. GENERALLY speaking 10-12psi(temp dependent) will not change a carb between 2.3 and 2.5vols at beer serving temp. IF you are using beer gas, you can be much higher without effecting your carb. My draft system is an 80ft long draw and we are pushing 28psi of beer gas. BUT you have to balance your restrictions at your tap head.

Yes, but....... If the keg is wildly overcarbed. You don't need more gas. If the internal pressure of the keg is above the 10 psi setpoint, it wouldn't add more anyway......
 
If needed the best way to decarb a keg completly is to warm the keg up to room temp and keep pulling the relief valve every hour, do not open the lid, wait till nothing comes out
