It’s getting close to that time of year! Figured we needed a thread for people to post the festivities they will host or attend.

Waaaay too early but my first one is this weekend. Maysville KY does theirs the second weekend in August each year. I’ll post pic Saturday or Sunday depending on liters consumed.

I will host my own in early October.

I use to host a Craigtoberfest before COVID, might have to start that back up again...
Not this year, too much going on with a Grand Baby arriving in late September.
Next year!

Well... Looks like I’ll be brewing a Märzen tomorrow or Sunday. I moved 10 gallons on to the gas from the storage fridge, which I hit with co2 charges periodically as I’ve not plumbed the manifold and gas lines. I have 2 recipes brewed back to back, 1st at 6%, 2nd at 6.75%. I accidentally hooked up the 2nd batch and

ugh. It’s heavy, syrup-y almost. It finished at 1.011 ... wondering if it froze?

Batch 1 is ok, won’t be my favorite of the last few years. Anyway, I have yeast ready to go already so what the heck, I’ll brew an August lager.

Brewing mine today
That was my plan as well. That was until last evening when I found out some cousins were in town from Arizona & California. I hate to postpone any brew day, especially an Oktoberfest brew day in August but, I haven't see some of them in decades so I it was a no-brainer decision.

My home fest bier is already to go; we celebrate both Oktoberfest and remembering wonderful days at the Cannstatter volksfest in Stuttgart More days to enjoy that Festbieren!!!.
Sounds awesome. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to Brewers Friend!

Welcome Dr M :)

In October we will host our 13th annual "Schwenk Fest" (named after the Schwenker grill shown in the photo) - my Märzen is cold-crashing in a couple of days and we'll also have a Vienna Lager and light Citra APA (heresy, I know!) on tap for variety. As we say in Tennessee, "Prost, Y'all!"
