So here is my problem… I am having a party in 8 days and I now only realized my two kegs on tap will be out by then so I need a drinkable beer by then. Here is my thought, I will make an IPA Around 5-6 ABV, use kveikingA44 which should be done in 3 days(I can wrap the fermentor in my plant heat mat to maintain 90F :), cold crash w/gelatin 2 days and force carb at 30psi for 2 days.

Is this doable or a pipe dream?
Has anyone done anything similar?
Any additional ideas or suggestions?

Never tried that but, I would probably eliminate the cold crash & gelatin and ferment for 5 days. Kviek is fast but, I don't know if 3 days in enough. Add some dark grains to help hide any cloudiness.

3 days at 90F should be enough. Once it hits FG get it cold and carbed. Any conditioning that needs doing will happen in the fridge. Here's my typical Lutra kveik fermentation

I have done it with S04. I think your plan will work. You may have some trouble with the yeast dropping out, but it can be done.

How do you maintain the high fermentation temp. I plan on wrapping my seed starter mat around the bucket but looking for additional ideas if this somehow works.

I live in Virginia and it's summer lol if you can't maintain kveik temps then S04 might be a better choice

Heat belt your seed matt on an STC will work too but yeah if ferm temp is cooler choose a yeast better suited to the ambient
