Quick Water Requirements

WARNING: Mash tun capacity exceeded. Volume required: 15.08 gal (60.31 qt). Suggest reducing initial water volume to 11.02 gal (44.1 qt) and adding 3.08 gal (12.31 qt) sparge/top-off. 14.1 56.4
Heat water added to kettle (equipment estimates 12.35 g | 49.4 qt) 14.1 56.4
Mash volume with grains (equipment estimates 12.35 g | 49.4 qt) 15.08 60.3
Grain absorption losses (steeping) -1.53 -6.1
Mash Lauter Tun losses -0.25 -1
Volume increase from sugar/extract (early additions) 0.82 3.3
Pre boil volume (equipment estimates 11.65 g | 46.6 qt) 13.4 53.6
Boil off losses -1.5 -6
Hops absorption losses (first wort, boil, aroma) -0.15 -0.6
Post boil volume 10 40
Going into fermentor 10 40
WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.

Notes

Popular 10 gallon batch setup for all grain brewing. Uses two large stainless 15 gal/58 l kegs for the boil pot and mash tun with the tops cut off the keg. A third keg is often used as a pot to heat mash tun water.
