slowed wort pump down during mash. May have increased my efficiency that way. |

Carboy #2 had major suckback of starsan through the blowoff tube. Carboy #1 used a dry airlock so it had no issues.
Crashing the temp of the freezer caused this to happen. Moral of the story -- do not use a blowoff when crashing!
There was a half-inch layer of cloudy starsan on the top of carboy #2 -- racked the beer below that and only got 4.5 gallons in that keg. |

The 'suspect' keg was moved to the kegerator on 4/30. Tastes pretty good -- no indication of anything wrong with the beer. Needs some more lagering time and some gelatin though.
The head on the beer is a bit clumpy when poured from the faucet. Doesn't seem to have any impact on the flavor though. Maybe this is due to the starsan? |

Beer is acceptably clear now. Should wait this long for lagers for best results. :) Tastes fantastic. Clean, refreshing!

Fined the non-suspect keg today with gelatin. It probably doesn't need it but whatever -- I was fining the furnado and figured I'd fine this one too. |

Kicked a few days ago. SOLID light lager (after a good long lagering period). |
