Notes

Oide Wiesn Festbier (Old Style Oktoberfest Bier) Brewed in the darker, maltier, Marzen style rather than the modern light Festbier.

Brewed 8/7/2022
14 gal Distilled +4-5 Filtered Tap water. Tsp CaCL+10 ml Lactic. Hoch Kurz Double Decoction Mash.
Infuse to 150F, rest 30,
Pull 1/4 decoct, heat to 158F, rest15, boil 10, Return to get 160F
Rest 20 min, pull 1/3 decoct, boil 5, return to get 170F.
Add rice hulls to main mash after pull 2nd decoction and when returning.
Recirculate 20 minutes and lauter to boiler.
60 minute boil. 2 WhirlFloc. Got 11+ gal at 1.055. FG 1.015
