Great Lakes Pilsner Grain.
1 Start with 8 gallons of water.
2 Heat to approximately 160-165 degrees, pour into mash tun.
3 Stir in grain, make sure water ends up about 150 degrees. Add hot or cold water as needed. Put lid on tun and allow to steep for 60 minutes.
4 Drain water into pot. Stir grains around during drain.
5 Bring to rolling boil for about 45 minutes. Add hops.
6 Boil for another 10 minutes and then add Irish Moss and put wort cooler in pot.
7 Continue boil for another 15 minutes.
8 Turn off heat and cool as quickly as possible.
9 Cool to approximately 80 degrees.
10 Filter into fermentation chamber. Avoid sediment on bottom of pot.
11 Pitch yeast and allow to ferment for 10 days or until fermentation has stopped. Best fermentation temp is about 55-60 degrees.
13 Siphon wort into priming vessel, avoiding sediment and using fine filter.
14 Adjust Co2 pressure to keg based on temperature. Use chart in Beer Folder.
