Notes

I added 300g of fresh elderflower as opposed to 200g as with my previous batch, this was to help contrast the slightly richer malt profile and I’m glad I did. First taste after 3 weeks in the FV and I think I’ve hit my intended style bang on. Could even have added more but I expect you would start to get more vegetal flavours through being fresh elderflower. Still a tad hazy and so could benefit from a cold crash. Overall, the elderflower comes though nicely in the nose and in the background and being quite a dry pale, it really allows you to taste the individual elements well; elderflower, malt and hops in their own rights. Really happy with this beer and can’t wait to try it after conditioning.
