Notes

11/11/21

8 gallons in mash tun

flame off 157--> 152.4 to get 1.010 FG

in actuality did flame off @ 159-->154.0

1 hour mash

1 hour boil

threw in whirlpool 1 oz @ 150 F but just let it keep dropping and kept wort chiller running

pitched @ 65F (didnt have ice bombs) after aeration and once at pitch temp added 2 oz saaz

pitched 2 packets of L17 Harvest

put in fridge that was set to 30F @ 4:00pm

11/14/21 @ 4pm (72 hours post pitch)--> SG 1.034

11/16/21 @ 7am SG was 1.015--> opened door for D rest

7 pm minimal bubbling and grav sample says 1.010 (FF test showed 1.012)

11/18/21
@ 6 pm performed first stage of super kleer
2nd stage @ 8 pm
all of this was done @70 F and purged CO2 and shook fermenter following purge after both additions

11/21/21
Close pressure transferred to empty purged keg (5 times) that had 2 pinches of K meta added

11/23/21
checked to see how clear or not clear the super kleer made it.... it was still hazy so i dont think it did that great?
added gelatin w/ 250cc and 2 more pinches k meta and purged 16 times. then put it on gas for low and slow method of carbonating
