Method: CO2
Amount: 12PSI
CO2 Level: 2.3 Volumes |
Target Water Profile
Light colored and hoppy
Notes
OG: 1.067
FG: 1.011
ABV: 7.3%
3/12 - Starter:
--Overbuild by 100 billion
--200 grams DME in 2 liters
3/13 split into .5L and 1.5L and crash
3/14 decant 1.5L and pitch
5.95 gallons Mash (22.5L)
2.1 gallons Sparge (10L)
3/14 - 1064 OG - totally blew expected numbers (by 15 points). Not sure if I goofed and added too much sparge water, bad crush or what. DIPA is no longer double. Set SS Chronical to 65 (tilt read 1.053) Noted a massive amount of foam at the top before pitching. First time using the inline oxygen and that may have foamed the living crap out of it during the slow, slow, slow transfer.
3/16 - hydrometer reading of 1.029 (tilt readings continue to be about 10 points off)
3/17 - hydrometer reading of 1.016 (tilt showed 1.027 - attempted to recalibrate it, but caused the issues seen above). Bumped the temp to 66 in the afternoon. Bubbles are close to done at this point.
3/18 - Dry hop charge split between two stainless mesh canisters
3/22 - bumped to 70 for diacetyl rest
3/25 - Cold crash to 35
3/27 - Keg with .5 ounces of simcoe and .5 ounces amarillo
