Notes

Heated 6 gallons strike water to 160°and added to 60° grain, mashed at 150°. Yielded just under 4 gallons 1st runnings. Heated 4 gallons sparge water to 160 degrees and added to a 137 degree grain bed = 145 for twenty minutes, so lower than we wanted. Aerated wort for thirty seconds. Carboy yield was 6 gallons.

OG: 1.060

3.19.18 -- This beer turned out phenomenal. We believe the water chemistry notes we made really helped accentuate the smoothness of the body as well as the Cherrywood malt itself. The first bottle, had about 2-3 weeks ago, was heavy on Cherrywood. As recently as yesterday that flavor has dropped off about 20% or so, making the grain more of a side act and less of the headliner.
