Notes

This recipe was designed for a homebrew competition category that required 20% of the grain bill to be red wheat (tribute to the winter wheat grown here in KS).

First batch scored an average of 27.5 (2 judges) at a local competition. Biggest hits seemed to come from the beer being over-carbonated and a bit too much yeast character for an American Wheat (I probably DID ferment a little too warm).

All in all it was a pretty tasty beer, nice citrus/tangerine notes, some yeast character up front but finished clean. Probably not perfect for the style but definitely a drinkable beer with some clear direction for improvement.
