Hi all. Just carried out my second attempt at all grain on Saturday. I pitched white labs wlp001 California yeast. Did not make a starter no signs of action to start with, 48 hours later one bubble every 11 seconds. As I am new to this brewing game, have any of you used this yeast? Is this what it should behave like? Do you think I could have done anything better.
Thanks

001 is probably the most commonly used yeast. I starter is usually a good idea for a shorter lag time. But I'm betting everything will be just fine with this batch.

Hi and thanks for your posts. You are both exactly right! Fermenting nicely and gravity dropping. Just beginners nerves. :D
