Wallenpaupack Brewing - Maibuck
Sorry guys but your description left out hits of burnt rubber bands...but at 10.2 % maybe they figured I wouldn't care..
So i don't usually like flavored foo foo beer. This is amazing! Fermented with gauva, mango and passion fruit. But has a nice light fruity flavor, not overbearing. The base beer they use is a very nice bitter ipa. So it has a nice fruity start and finishes really bitter. Might my new fav
I drove past there today!
Doesn't sound good
Sounds like stressed fermentation to me.
Or they burned the peated malt
Another dunkel for me. Thought it was about to kick. May have another pour left.
Meh. You drink what you can get.
Schwarzbier very happy with how this bevvys turned out.
Past the brewery or past the Wallenpaupack exit off I84? If you were on Rte 6 in Hawley and drove right past the brewery without stopping in, well shame, shame, shame...
In fact I was in Hawley...I had no idea you live near there! But to be fair I had about 36 hours in Hawley to visit family, so it was a bit of a whirlwind. We go every year, so I'll make sure to meet you at the brewery next year!!!
I'm about 35-40 minutes west of Hawley. But every time I go there, somehow, I always manage to end up at the brewery. Not sure how that happens.
Would be a blast to meet you at the brewery someday!
About to sparge the 1st Base Jumper batch. There's about 2ish pints of honey lime amber left in the keg. I need that keg to ferment this batch. Time for some brew day beers
Brewing Shady Bohemian right now, just ordered about 30lbs of malt from Morebeer(after this batch I was out of Cara 60 & 75, Pale High Color and Munich, almost out of Cara 40, Blackprinze and Midnight Wheat.).
Wrong thread...well I AM also drinking a Shady Bohemian I guess...
Boatswain double IPA, $6 a 6-pack at Trader Joe's. Not as bitter as I guessed 75 IBU would be, a lot maltier than you'd think. At 8.4% I think my limit is one, and then I go back to Josh's bitter.
Had one can. Kim and I split.
I should have recollected that their stout was a little too ashey...as in cigar-ish. Maybe I can blend it with some of my dark mild...Stay tuned...
Might ruin the mild lol
A beautiful Red ale by Rad Brewing in Anaheim, CA. No lack of hops, with a good malty backbone.
Goose island IPA
