Looks dangerous barley beware!
Nice grain mill!
Just did me first pressure transfer of second batch of Lil ale straight into 1st lil ale beers keg.
Question: how much o2 ingres you recon I'd get.if after a.bit of co2 transfer I pushed the rest with this?.
How did the transfer go? I'm hoping to do mine soon on the stout. I've been looking at a couple of videos to get a little more knowledge on the subject before I do my 1st. Appears to be pretty simple.
Yeah nothing to it really. I transfered into a keg I'd just drunk dry it was first lil ale brew so just transfered next lot straight in on top. I lifted release valve on keg lid and attached gas as you do on snub nose. Transfer wet without a hitch but once did the bull grab on edge of fermentor and started gurgling I just gave it a Nock to free it .
As you can see in photo here this morn went right to the trub line.
Cleaning snub nose using sprayer attachment that way I can preassurise and run cleaner back and forth through dip tube.
I like that set up. You use that in your draft system for cleaning also?
Iron Brewer competition at my favorite homebrew shop. We make a beer from their list of ingredients to see what we can make. Sounds like fun!
As soon as I completely wake up will be cleaning a keg, kegging a Blonde Ale and spinning up a starter for the Nautical Star I'll be brewing Tuesday. Best friend since we were about 13 and his wife visiting for the past couple of days. We did our part to keep the beer industry going for the past 2 nights, so not exactly feeling ambitious today.
Life is good Bob!
Yep have started to.
Did some serious cleaning and reorganizing of my brewing area. Gave the brew rig to my buddy who helped build it and I'm gonna build something smaller to run a single burner on. It was a nice concept but took up so damned much space.
Both the Iron Brewer and the Oktoberfest this weekend went off very well. Unfortunately, I now have a huge load of bottles to clean.... Started last night.
Added dry hops to Black IPA, 10 gallon batch, 11oz of a Cascade, Chinook, Simcoe mix. Will likely drop the temp in a few days to crash, maybe Keg it on Sunday
Watching my Polaris SMaSH bubble away. Otherwise will probably try to line something up this weekend and start tinkering with my pump setup. I might not need to drill holes in my kettle if I can jigger something into place that goes over the top.
I plan to make a new hole in each of my HLT, MLT, and BK for recirculation/whirlpool, this way lids can all stay put, and I won't have more awkward parts to find a place to store...
Got most of what I was planning on doing yesterday done today. Worked out well, as another keg kicked last night and I was able to clean it along with lines and the other empty keg. Spun up a starter for my Nautical Star which I moved to Wednesday instead of tomorrow. Weighing out and milling grains and kegging a blonde ale tomorrow, as well as picking up some RO water.
Nice! Drained a keg, filled a keg, and cooking up another batch! Jealous!
Yep he's a bit of an allrounder!
Now there's a good beer name The Allrounder!
