I received some great feedback from my first attempt at an original. I thought I'd share the second which I sampled this afternoon. This is the last recipe I will make without using the recipe builder tool. I leaned on the bitterness hops too much and plan to cut down on both quantity and boil time, but it is definitely drinkable. It was interesting that the first taste was bitter and after it sat for ten minutes, it was much less so. I think it is definitely a Strong American Ale and not a Double IPA. My standards are raised from "Not Horrible" to "Not So Bad". Progress!

Temp changes can affect how you taste beer. So when it sat for 10 minutes it probably warmed and that made it taste different. But the good thing is you improved upon your first attempt so congratulations on that.
