Has anyone had any problem with their siphon tubing getting vertical cracks. The outside tube has several fractures and one that leaks and the inside tube has a few fractures. They are all vertical meaning they run up and down the tube not sideways across it. I've only used it for 8 batches so far. The only possible cause I can figure is leaving it in star san for a few days. Any ideas?

I can tell you that I don't leave any of my equipment soaking in StarSan (or anything else) and I don't have problems with cracks.

They're more likely scratches, although they could be normal fatigue cracks. Those things are plastic, they wear out over time. The acid in the Star San might accelerate that. Replace the siphon.

Ive replaced mine 3 times from a leaky seal but so far no cracks, could be an old on the shelf product
