This has turned out a nice brew.Used around 16% rye in the mix and it is a very nice sharpish and hoppy brew but not too full on with the hops.Certaily one to repeat.
Used up a mix of pale and lager malt as my base.
Partial mash,6 litres,OG 1.048,FG 1010,43.80 IBU,10.92 SRM
5 litre mash at 67c for 60 min,2.75 litre dunk sparge at 72c for 10 minutes.
454grams amber liquid malt
50 grams light munich malt
15 grams choc malt
85 grams wheat malt
200 grams pale malt
200 grams lager malt
200 grams malted rye
6 grams challenger pellets 60 min
5 grams citra "" 15 mins
1/4 protofloc tablet 15 mins
5 grams amarillo pellets and 5 grams citra pellets at turn off
6 grams amarillo pellets and 8 grams citra pellets 5 day dry hop.
(crossmyloof) US pale ale yeast,1/2 pack re hydrated

This is now comming into it's own. A very decent pint and have had good feedback from others whom i have offloaded some to:)
 
getting better by the bottle.Even if i do say so myself it's really very good. A definate re brew this one:cool:
 
Just put a 12 litre re run of this through brewers friend:),have a 10 litre pressure barell which should leave around 2 litres to go into bottles:cool:.
Also just had a swap with another bloke living down the road.He was really happy about the beer,loved it actually.
had a rye stout that he brewed and again that was really good:cool:
