Hey folks,
I was adjusting a recipe today and idly thought it might be easier to bring the grain bill into the store in some other units, like grams or ounces. When fiddling with the units, I noticed my ABV/Gravity changing.
After a bit, I narrowed it down to a rounding error, I think.
If you set a fermentable at 0.75 lbs, then switch it to ounces it does just the right thing: 12 oz. But when you switch it back to lbs, it drops the second decimal, leaving me with 0.7 lbs and changing the recipe a bit. This happens with any of the other units (g, kg) as well.
Thanks!
