(Resolved) Actual versus Projected gravity

Some calculators have projected OG, FG and ABV, and actual which you enter manually after you brew. I guess if you adjust the efficiency you can usually get the right numbers, so maybe it doesn't matter. Just a thought.

Have you tried the brew feature? When you brew a recipe (look for the brew button on the view recipe page), and then enter the correct log entries (which the brew log screen will say to), the system will calculate actual ABV, actual Efficiency, and actual Attenuation.

Let me know if this is helpful, or if we need to do more in this area.

Okay, I'll have to check it out more closely. I haven't actually brewed since I found the site. Next batch I'm going to try to use your rec. bldr. and calculators from start to finish. I like the checklist concept; good for space cases like me and especially good for newer brewers or new all grain brewers.
