Raspberry and applications

I want to setup a raspberry for temprerures recording, charts notifications etc
Anyone using it to help?
I see this craftbeerpi app
But I have read also the home assistant
Have you experience with this stuff?
I want just to monitor from my phone and have some notifications..
I used a esp32 but I had many disconnections and errors so indesid to try raspberry

This is one example, but you must also buy their hardware to measure temperature and ‘estimate’ the specific gravity.

For that example, set up is very easy.

That looks really cool. Read through the fermenter control and seems pretty straight forward.

Rpi and some SSRs, plus a temp sensor and you are in business.

I have set already thermometers with thermostats on a control panel working locally
But this is better controlling everything from computer.
I will go for craftbeerpi
The only issue is I can't watch the gravity
I'm not sure if it want to use my rapt pill inside a unitank with pressure

The pill will be fine, you aren’t putting too much pressure on them

Check out BrewPi.com perhaps. Those fellas been at it for several years so stuff should be quite refined. I've seen others, but don't have links handy.

One of our club members has a Rapt and he ferments under pressure sometimes. It is not an issue.

I have also setup the grafana, giving me great graphics of temprerures and historical data
I'm running some test last days everything seems to work good
I haven't ferment yet beer but soon will be

i know it fun to build stuff, but i wouldnt worry too much about automation until you get big. We ran a regional brewery for years before we signed up with Boxcar and Ekos.

Once you get used to fermenation schedules and times its very easy to manage. Plus you will be there basically every day checking gravities and working. It is also important that before you adjust a tank you confirm that you have the appropriate pressure on the tank to avoid a vacuum or sucking your blow off bucket into it.

I have my kitchen guys occasionally crash a tank for me, but only when i have already pre pressurized it and left them explicit instructions. I have also had people dryhop the wrong tank before so trust is thin.

That being said, if it brings you joy by all means!
