Putting in a new fence here at home.
I'm at a total loss as how to get out these concreted posts.

Some of them posts are rotted out too

Here's the hole after yesterday's struggle

Anyhow I don't have a chain but that's what I think I need to do is wrap it around the concrete and use leverage to heave it out.

Any experience with this sort of thing let me know please.

I have used one for pulling posts, large bushes, small trees and other tasks .

Someone you know must have one. Worst case rental. It would be worth it.
If there are abunch of posts.

Ihave used hi lift jacks also. While they will usually work, you may run out of four letter words.

This next one's got no post

That is allot of work, lol.

Think I would have cut it flush, buried it and moved the new post over 18" lol
Can't that's where my front gate is.
+ either I pull out old posts or dig in new posts
No easy out here my man.

Unless your idea is better...
Which is too late for me I've already dug em out lol!

Glad to see you got them out.
Even using a simple machine isn't always simple.
It does feel good to get the old ones out though.
Now a cold one as a reward!
Cheers Ben

In that case, totally worth hiring someone, lol.

Definitely not an easy job.

Done?
What about the ones across the back? Don't stop now!

Yeah their next lol
But that's time and money I ain't got ATM :)
I've lernt alot just doing this front section so far.

I can use one of the new 100×100 ×2.4m hardwood posts as a lever to extract the old post and concrete pretty easily.

The rotted out post I put one of my tie down straps around the concrete and used the post to pull that out

New posts are going in next long weekend and I'll be hanging the new gate.:)
