Just before the end of 2019, UPS and FedEx dropped the weight limit that triggers the oversize package surcharges. The weight was dropped from 70 pounds to 50 pounds. I'd expect some changes in both free shipping and flat rate shipping restrictions and qualifying limits from many suppliers before long. Other suppliers may use price increases to recover the extra cost.

Always remember, when the cost of doing business goes up, the increase is passed on to the consumer. It's just good business.

In the end, we will all pay the freight.

I'm still shocked a stamp now costs $.55
It's got to be hard making a buck when just about everything can be handled electronically and almost instantly anymore. That said, USPS has never been known to handle money very well.

The $ .55 is a nickel for delivery and 50 cents for storage :) Dang! I can remember 4 cent stamps.
