    Hello all,
Opening day in mlb but more importantly, I'm going to try to brew some beer.
Thanks to this site (I've been following for a while) I'm going to give it a shot.
I got the basic equipment. Read john palmer (twice). Found my local pittsburgh brew shops. Wish me luck.

After years of regular old beer drinking, I somehow got hooked on the heavy hops and IPA craze. Favorites right now are flashback from boulder (iba) and 2xOne from southern tier. Still going to enjoy those while I do a few extracts and get the basics down.
Look forward to getting back here and letting you know how it went, mainly cause wife doesn't listen when I talk anyways.
    Cheers,

    Mike

Brewing is really easier than most of the books make it seem. Of course, the first brew is always a bit scary, just go for it!

Your right and honestly very forgiving, you can be way off and still make good beer
