Greetings, I started brewing with a 1g (AG)kit 3 months ago and loved it. I then did the research and found a "deluxe" kit on line and started making extract kits. I soon found out i had little control over this but liked it anyway (and learned i can drink my mistakes). This past weekend i brewed my very first all grain 5g batch (Hefeweizen), I had a blast! it takes a little longer and i'm sure I've made a few mistakes but i think I'll enjoy it much better than the extract. Here are a few pics from the weekend. Brewer's Friend has been my "go to" since starting and it allows me to see what is needed before i am ready for the big day. Kudos!
I love the brew tent. It is really smart to brew outdoors, away from the house, when using propane burners. Looks like you had an awesome day! The only thing I don't see in the pictures is beer... :lol:
Ha, yeah... Did I say I was a beginner..? I was so busy trying to make sure all went well (first time with my new toys) I forgot till the end! What a great experience though.
