I was Basic Brewing Podcast episode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-bS3CGrPec about the New Albion Ale. There is going to be a virtual tasting somehow.

I made my version of the S.M.A.S.H. extract style. I re-pitched it into a fermentor I had the West Coast Blaster in. This what I brewed yesterday:
Calc O.G. 1.055
Calc F.G. 1.015
ABV 5.17%
IBU (rager) 25.53
SRM (daniels) 11.53
Actual OG 1.044
Fermentables
8.6 lb Briess LME - Amber
Hops
Amount Variety Time AA IBU Type Use
0.8 oz Cascade 60 min 4.7 14.01 Leaf/Whole Boil
0.8 oz Cascade 30 min 4.7 7.78 Leaf/Whole Boil
0.8 oz Cascade 15 min 4.7 3.74 Leaf/Whole Boil
Yeast: Fermentis / Safale - Safale - American Ale Yeast US-05

Looks like an easy drinking beer.

Have you tried working with steeping grains yet? That will give your brews added freshness and flavor beyond what plain LME can do by itself.

Yeah, I actually brewed a beer yesterday with steeping grains. I was thinking about adding crystal 20L, but decided against it since it is supposed to be a SMASH. I'm still waiting a few more batches to switch to all grains. I still have to build a mash tun.
