Measuring alcohol of a triple ?

Hello all,
so I'm making a triple from a Munton's kit.
First density is 1045, a week of fermentation goes down to 1014, I add 500g brewing sugar and the density is now 1024. It's currently brewing, so I don't know the final density yet, but what's the formula to get the alcohol level ?
For a simple fermentation I use (InitialD-FinalD)/100*13.5

Wouldn't you just use the 1024 as the new OG and calculate it like you would normally once it hits final.
Then add the 2 amounts together
 
Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was indeed working this way.
 
He's smarter than I am so that's what I would do.
