kentish ale

Well i originaly made this recipe for 10 gallons so i could split and use 04 and nottingham in 2 seperate fv's to compair but decided to scale the recipe back to my usual 25 ltr batch, since using 04 in the first batch and trying almost ½ the keg, ive just brewed two more batches one using nottingham and one using yeast captured from local bottle conditioned ale.
This recipe is definatly a keeper if i had to describe it id say somewhere between tribute and spitfire a little sweeter hop flavor than spitfire not quite as citrusy as tribute but as nice as both
first time ive used dried yeast and like the idea of a big 500g box of either 04 or nottingham its just so convenient, the captured yeast is an experiment from 2 bottles of hunters gold where i pitched about a cupfull of slurry(2ltr starter).. will post up some tasting notes when the next 2 batches are done, i love this beer alot

first 2 brews of 2014 sorted
cheers
