I ended up doing a 10.5 hour motorbike ride on Saturday and wasn't able to make it back in time. Hope it was a good call.

Sorry I missed it. I was grilling burgers and hot dogs (and sharing homebrew) at that time. Had my wife's family over. My wife's brother and his wife were in town. Since they retired they spend much of their time travelling the country in their 5th wheel trailer. I'm very jealous.

Boss just bought and old school Aprilla V twin too really rubbing it in

Those are beautiful bikes. I ended up on some mountain roads that were a lot of fun, I need to put better rubber on the bike. Get into the mountains cools off some too, the ride home at the end of the day was decent cause the sun went down.
