The recipe I am brewing tomorrow is a Lagunitas IPA clone, FW hop is magnum, 60 minute addition is Horizon. Could I substitute nugget for either one, the other, or both?

That's what I've been using... I find Nugget to have a very smooth bittering... The marzen style beer we've been drinking used Nugget and Czech Saaz cause that's what I had on hand...

any bittering hop will do you, you cant taste it in the beer anyway, I use magnum because it's so cheep, why waste money

Stick with Magnum for all the bittering additions. Nugget is more resiny/pine and might be hit or miss in terms of smooth or slightly harsh/lingering. I like to use it late for NW style earthy/piney hop profile.

Thanks guys

Thanks guys
Bittering hops don't add much but bittering. Magnum is probably the cleanest bittering possible. All hops have their own characteristics. However bitter is bitter when you boil 60 min.
