Heyyathere folks in the path of Hurricane Helene...hope you and yours are all dry, safe and well. I just saw some of the footage of the impact in the Tennessee Valley, Georgia and Florida and could not help but to think about you all.

I will not be making the happy hour but will be thinking about you all! Good thoughts!

Western North Carolina got slammed hard. Look on your maps app, virtually every major road is closed. No power, no water, no cell phones.

Ham radio still works though.

I’m in Atlanta, it was not bad.

I read that Ashville NC which as a bunch of breweries ...like 2 dozen..really took it on the chin.

In Savannah, we lost power and alot of down trees and damage from that. Some folks here still dont have power which is rough. Overall, we got hit hard but we didnt have the big rain or a huge tide to add a bunch of water to the crazy winds.

We had gusts over 100mph. My parents lost 4 trees in their yard(Oaks and pecans). one snapped the entire crown off about 30 feet up. just a big stick poking out of the ground. crazy.

There was a BBQ place that was being covered and I recalled how World Kitchen goes into disaster areas and hired local food service folks to help feed the locals in places like this. What a great program...I wonder if the brewers could get stood up so they could help process clean drinking water for the recovery like how Pepsi did in India.

Same down the Georgia coast. A week of pulling large chunks of trees with a chain and tractor, pickup anything larger than your little finger, and grind the rest up with the mower. Almost there. Milton did not re-trash the place and we kept power. The boat shed roof lost three panels. Otherwise we did good compared to others.
