Finally pulled the trigger on the first brew and I think it went fairly well. I definitely need to get some sort of sparge arm going for the next one and need to run a blank run to get more accurate volume losses but overall happy with the results so far. everything is so shiny! :D

Wait a minute, that equipment looks kind of familiar...

Looks great, well done, consider Batch Sparging, it's much easier.

yes I think that will be a very likely option next time! I sort of did that this time but wasn't confident I was doing it properly.

That's pretty exciting, especially after you reconsidered selling your gear!

Tell us how it comes out, did you taste your gravity sample?

It's not bad really, a blonde ale all grain kit from shortfinger. I definitely learned a few things along the way, the number 1 item is patience. I'm sure I could have waited another day or so before cold crashing and also could have let it crash another day at least. But, I have something that is drinkable and will be able to share with my friends. I will definitely buy another kit from shortfinger, that made things pretty simple for me as I get started. It's been a fun process and I'm looking forward to my next brew session.

Sure looks good anyway
