Here's the recipe.....Let me know how it sounds. This is one of my first self-inflicted recipes.....

It's currently fermenting. Looking to bottle on Sunday, 10-26 and will be taking a gravity reading this evening.
I'll keep this thread updated through at least the first couple of bottle pours and taste testing..

Start simple and learn. That looks simple and normal enough to me. If it were mine, I would have upped the IBUs a bit, but that is personal preference.
I like mixing the 2 row and Pilsner with some of my beer recipes, but when I do that, I do like something like a floor malted Pils to give it some character. (Waiting now for Big Bre to give me some shit:))
If it comes out well with your system, you might want to play around with a different yeast, some different hops, or both. That is the fun of learning shit.

Thanks for the input!
I did a little research before concocting this one. It is modeled after, what I believe to be, a close rendition of Fireman's #4 Blonde Ale. I'll give it a taste test tonight as well as the gravity check.

Good luck with it!
What is the "Bonham" reference in the name of the beer? Is it music related, as in drums?

It'll work...your C-10 and Carapils are a little redundant but not hurting a thing.
Mixing Pilsner and Pale isn't a bad thing but be aware that they're not just generic types and specific brands can have some desirable characteristics. Pay attention to the actual numbers associated with the malt that you're using rather than just plugging in a generic from the malt list and picking up whatever the local store is stocking. That's how you start getting repeatability when something works well for you.
Good luck with it. :)

“We’ve done 4 already
but now we’re steady
And then they went
1-2-3-4”

No, but that would be a great theme to base a beer around as well!

James Bonham was one of the defenders of the Alamo who died in the battle on March 6, 1836
Being a native of the city, in short, “led” me to base my imaginary brewery upon his legacy.
