Black Cherry Wheat

Check out how my Black Cherry Wheat is coming along. Not a lot of cherry flavor yet, I'll add more at bottling if needed.



Below is after I added another quart of black cherry juice.

mmm, sounds tasty. i've been looking to do a dunkelweizen, and cherry sounds good with that. let us know on how the cherry stands out.

I came out with more hop and less cherry flavor than I thought. Over time, it is getting less spicy. Quite good though. I'm going to cut the hops by half and try it again.

My one insight into fruit beers is cut back on the hops, unless it's a hop that should complement the fruit. In the case of cherries, I can't think of one.
