I've been using Brewer's Friend for a while now, all BIAB. But I have yet to figure out how to make the quick water requirement calculator properly account for a partial volume mash while using the BIAB method. I'm limited with a 9 gallon kettle and usually mash in with about 6 gallons of water and use 2 gallons in a "dunk sparge".

Basically, I want Brewer's Friend to be able to tell me how much water I can fit in my kettle given the amount of grain I have for a recipe. Does anyone know how to make Brewer's Friend do a "will it fit" calculation?

Thanks.

Benson

if you have put in your kettle size in equipment settings and picked that profile in the recipe editor under more to the right, then save it, then under recipe tools /quick water requirements it will just tell you total water needed based on all your losses in your profile and you would split that up how ever you need
