Hello,

I bought carb drops but i'm not sure how many i should put in a 330ml bottle.

The grainfather tool tells me 2 drops (>3gr) for 330ml and 3 for 500ml but the seller says 1 for 330ml bottles and 2 for 500ml.

Has someone already tried 2 for a 330ml bottle?

I use 1 Cooper's carbonation drop for a 12oz bottle and they work just fine.
12oz ≈ 355ml

What carb drops do you have?
Maybe it gives sugar content on the pack?

I use table sugar and use about 6-8 gr per litre.
I add per bottle and use a 1/8 teaspoon from a measuring set.
2 of these for 330 ml
4 for grolsch swing top or 500 ml bottle
6 for 1 ltr bottle or 8 in case of cider

Goal is to avoid oxydation as much as possible by not opening fermenter or transfering.

But your carb drops are probably heavier than 1.5gr?

I think I will try with one and a half. What do you think?

I honestly have no idea what the weight is on the Cooper's drops. I followed the directions on the package and would recommend you do the same.

I have used the carb drops and 1 per 12 oz bottle is the way to go. It also depends on the level of carbonation you are trying to achieve. If you want higher carb, then you might want to think about getting thicker bottles with corks and wire cages to secure the corks. Just saying.....

I calculated out that you need approximately 2.4 g of sugar for a 330 ml bottle. This equates to 5 oz (141 g) of priming sugar per 5 gallon (19 l) batch which is somewhat of a standard dosing. You could meet in the middle and add one and a half for each bottle.

I actually weighed several. They average 3.4 g.

In case someone is interested, i used 1 drop (1.5gr) in 33cl and 2 in 50cl bottles and it was ok but not as much as I wanted.

If anyone else is playing around with carbonation levels, I do use the 5oz of corn sugar in a bottling bucket, but if you don't want it carbed all the way, try one before 14 days. If to your liking, crash the temperature. It is homebrew, so it probably isn't going to travel much.
