    Mysterious Beer Loss at Bottling!

Sounds to me like it is somewhere in your process. Simplify things and se what happens. Go from primary to bottling bucket to bottle. Let is stay in the primary for an extra week or so then settle out for 24 hours in the bottling bucket before bottling. The only loss that you should have is to...

    Secondary fermentation gaffe

Because Co2 is heavier than o2 and it is such a small hole. I don't think you are going to have any issues.

    Equipment Upgrade

That's the type burner that I use also. It works great! The trick is to make sure that you have an adjustable regulator, I bought my burners from Academy Sporting goods for $12.00 each and the regulator from Tractor supply for around $20.00

    gyle for kegging

True, it's not simple using gyle to carb and get consistent results. Corn sugar is much easier. I prefer force carbonation over anything. It's been a long time since I've bottled. Making beer is only as complicated as you make it.

    gyle for kegging

Nice! I want a beer engine..... Treat your keg like it was just a big bottle of beer, if you have had success using gyle in bottles and were happy with the results. Why Not?

    It's not quite there.

Told you I would probably start a debate with my comments about StarSan. I'm not knocking the stuff, I love it and use it all the time but StarSan is an acid and being a purist. I would rather that it wasn't a part of my beer. Rinsing with boiled water after sanitizing with StarSan is just my...

Don't beat yourself up over having a few issues and not getting the expected results that you are looking for. If you are looking for a stand by beer and something you can duplicate, first you have to ask yourself this question. What kind of beer do I prefer? Myself, I'll pass up just about...

    Cheers!

Hi everyone! I'm a long time brewer and have used Brewers Friends great calculators often. I figured it was time to pony up and do my part to keep this great site up and running. I've used Beer Tools and Beer Smith in the past but just recently tried the recipe builder here and I have to say, it...
