    Tap cleaning

Good to know that you don't have any infection problems with this process. I was concerned that if I didn't clean the tap pretty frequently, I might have the infection problems that some commercial bars have when they don't clean their lines and taps. Thanks for the info.

    Chillers

Nosybear, could you clarify some things for me? First, what is the cold break? Second, when you tilt the kettle to get a clearer wort, at what point in the brewing process are you talking about? I assume you don't mean right after the boil, but I'm not sure.

    Tap cleaning

Got a single tap kegerator connected to a 5-gallon cornelius keg with a ball lock valve. What is the rule for cleaning the tap. Every day, or less frequently? And, what's the process you guys usually follow before removing the tap?

    Cooling down in kegerator

Thanks for that. That's good stuff. Questions: when you say bleed out the air 3 times, are you talking 3 quick bursts, or 3 different times during the conditioning period? And, for how long do you pull the relief valve?

Not cold conditioning. Should I be? I'm conditioning in keg in lieu of bottle conditioning.

    Keg Conditioning

I'm conditioning in a 5-gallon Cornelius keg. Should I periodically release built-up CO2 via the pressure relief valve, or is it okay to just leave the CO2 in there?

Fermentation stopped. How do I restart it?

Thanks, and thank you for your reply! I'm not taking gravity readings. I intended to, but dropped and broke my hydrometer on brewing day.

Fermentation stopped. How do I restart it?

Hello. I have a American Pale Ale batch in a 6-gallon carboy that I brewed BIAB style. It was my first time brewing this way, so ended up with only 4 gallons instead of my target 5 gallons. It has been in primary fermentation for one week today and I noticed that fermentation has come to a...
