    Incorrect OG?

Yup. OG was 1.074. I think I might have found the my issue. Does BF assume 100% extract efficiency, meaning if there are 36 ppg available, then that's what brewers will get? It appears so because my pre boil ppg is calculated at 25.2 and the pre boil efficiency was 69%. 25.2/36 = 0.70 or 70%

    Incorrect OG?

Yup, my defaults have been the same for a while now. I measured all my dead spaces and other equipment losses, evaporation rate is spot on. It's just the OG on this recipe/batch was wonky, even though I hit all my other expected numbers of volume and gravity leading up to flame out.

    Incorrect OG?

I was simply using the Boil Gravity as a check, but i verified that what BF gave me is in fact correct. I had 20 pounds of grist, mostly 2-row. 20 lbs @ 36 ppg = 720 gravity points According to Kai's numbers for theoretical maximum of first wort (I'm a no sparge brewer), I could expect 87.3%...

    Incorrect OG?

Long time user here, but ran into a problem I can't seem to find an answer to. I built a recipe with a pre-boil gravity and volume of 1.062 and 7.5 gallons, respectively. Boil off is 0.75 gallons. I add one pound of sugar at the end of the boil. Based on that math I should have an OG off...

    Editable Brew Steps

Wanted to edit my brew steps and my Google-fu has brought me here. I've decided to use the "other ingredients" section as a workaround. In the name field I've typed a short description of the step, then in the use field I associate the step with the activity I want (mash, boil, etc.)

    BIAB Partial Volume Mash

I've been using Brewer's Friend for a while now, all BIAB. But I have yet to figure out how to make the quick water requirement calculator properly account for a partial volume mash while using the BIAB method. I'm limited with a 9 gallon kettle and usually mash in with about 6 gallons of water...
