Android Brew Session Issue on Android

The trick is that you have to swipe in the very thin margin on the left or right. If you try to scroll in the "steps" with your finger it won't work. If you look closely the "steps" area is a window inside the webpage. you need to scroll the page not the window. It's kinda annoying but once you...

    How did they turn out?

    OOPS. Wrong bucket

All good. Fully carbonated. Have gone through about a dozen already. No explosions.

What did you get delivered today

Received 5 Ispindle PCB boards. Still waiting on the batteries and battery holders. Got the rest of the supplies last week.

    OOPS. Wrong bucket

Just an update. It is carbonating. The plastic water bottle was getting kinda hard so I put a bottle in the fridge for a day and tried it. Could still use a bit more time. Was good but not quite there

I brewed this same all grain kit on May 1St and it is successfully fermenting it in one of my many buckets I've acquired. I was a tad low on my post boil gravity but not by enough to worry over. It was my first time using the equipment I used so I've still got the learning curve to go.

Never hurts to ask. It's sometimes the best way to learn. I also think we got some good info here. Thanks everyone

    OOPS. Wrong bucket

@BarbarianBrewer it finished at 1.012 and stayed there for 2 weeks before my less then brilliant move.

    OOPS. Wrong bucket

@HighVoltageMan! Thanks. I was starting to think I really missed something, which is very likely to be the case at some point. I filled a plastic water bottle as recommend Ina different thread so I can see/feel the carbonation. I will just have to keep an eye on this one and see what happens...

    OOPS. Wrong bucket

No it's not the same as the water mash. I brewed this one about a month ago. I'm still new so I'm honestly curious why you think it's gonna go so wrong. What am I not seeing? Here is my thinking on it. The yeast that originally fermented this batch got hit with potassium sorbate which should...

    Mash thickness

I figured I was close enough for some good beer with the numbers I got. Not fretting. It will have alcohol. I did BIAB and squeezed out a bit of the water. No Sparge. I think I was at like 1.5qt for mash and went down to 1qt to see what happens next time. I know it will take time to dial in my...

    OOPS. Wrong bucket

It can only carbonate to the amount of available sugar. Right? Extra yeast shouldn't matter as far as I can figure.
  16. Gunkleneil

    OOPS. Wrong bucket

Because I accidently added potassium sorbate which prevents the yeast from multiplying. So I added more yeast to make sure it bottle conditions.

    OOPS. Wrong bucket

So I pitched a packet of nottingham yeast today and waited 3 hrs then did the sugar and bottled it. Fingers crossed.

    Mash thickness

Thanks for sharing your experience. I was aiming for a post boil gravity of 1.057 at 5 gallons after a 60 minute boil. But ended up with 1.050 with 6 gallons after a 90 minute boil to try to bring my volume down. I have since adjusted my equipment profile to use less water. So I figure I'm off...

    Mash thickness

So how much does mash thickness matter? I had 13.5 lbs of grain in a BIAB with 8.75 gallons of water in a 60qt pot. The grains were floating around very loose in the water. Does that affect my efficiency of sugar production? Is a thicker more porridge like mash better for starch conversion? This...

    OOPS. Wrong bucket

Thanks. Now I'm afraid to retry the all grain Saturday. Need something else to go wrong first. o_O
