I thought it would be nice to monitor the sauna temperature from in the house. So, I uncovered my box of electronic tinker toys and whipped up a wifi temp web server on an esp8266 micro controller. And tonight we finally got some winter weather where it was cold enough to freeze my water...

    Sparge/recirculation arms

I just use a piece of silicone hose and keep about 2cm of liquid above the mash when fly sparging. This is with HERMS so always recirculating. No issue at all with channeling, but that may be due to the Mash Tun and False bottom. It's a Bilchman kettle that has a ledge and the false bottom...

Indeed but the air water interface would take longer than a sauna. It's still 75 F in there right now. There's 1/2 ton of stove and stone and then the tile and cement in the floor. Good thing I insulated under the floor too.

For some reason I cannot attach a second image ... Hmm it seems to have something with it being uploaded before. Modifying it and saving it with a different filename worked.

I finally finished the sauna doors and installed them. It took longer than I thought it would and they are much heavier than I imagined. I've run out of cedar off cuts to make the last few casings.... Started a fire in there today... toasty.
