    Rye IPA

She's fully hopped, recipe is exactly as brewed, hop schedule was "heavily influenced" from 4G’s Rye IPA, a recipe that took first place / 2016 Battle of the Brews held at Witch's Hat Brewery in South Lyon, Michigan.

    Rye IPA

Yes Herm you are correct sir on the BIAB, and I’ve been putting some hulls in any of my mash’s with lots of flaked stuff, is it not necessary!? I just find it keeps it a little looser in the kettle which makes me feel like I’ll get better extraction.

    Rye IPA

Figured I would ask for a little feedback a earlier in my process this time. Making a Rye IPA based off a recipe from 4G’s. Couple of questions, you think I have enough rice hulls in there? Worried about the flaked stuff turning to sticky porridge. Also the original recipe called for a dry hop...

    Belgiany Witbier

I got it to 5.56 with a little gypsum, calcium chloride and lactic acid using my (not so) good old Calgary tap water. Assuming I’m actually using this water calculator correctly.

    Belgiany Witbier

Thanks Minbari, any insight on concerns with bottle conditioning, I only ask because I have done a few NEPA NEIPA that tasted great and looked just amazing coming out of the fermentor but didn't do well (colour wise) during bottling. Any concerns with that with hazy wheats?

    Belgiany Witbier

Would love some feedback, was requested by a coworker to go for something wheaty/Belgian. Grain bill is adapted from a few different Weissbier / Witbier recipes I’ve reviewed, I’ve also had great success with the Ardennes yeast so would like to have another batch with it. Have never used...

    Who do you cheer for?

I can't really complain how Smith played when 3/4 of the games are OT losses :( Not sure what's worse, first round sweep, or coming dead last and at least getting a shot at a future star  Kidding, the dead last years were way worse.

    Who do you cheer for?

We really Oilers’d that game. Geez Louise. Unnecessary penalty by Archibald and subsequent goal on the PP got the Jets mojo flowing. Shitty.

    Who do you cheer for?

You think Jujar is coming back, I wonder if he returned to soon after the ko from Ritchie, he left the game pretty wobbly after what seemed like a fairly light check. Light from my couch at least......

    Who do you cheer for?

Both my sons play lacrosse, box and field and we often here "its so dangerous" it indeed looks rough but in 5 years of coaching I haven't witnessed a significant injury in any practice or game play. Couple things contribute to significantly less head injuries compared to other contact sports...
