    Increasing volume of batch?

Hi folks. Made my first ever Pilsner Urquell clone yesterday (1st lager actually) and my 21L batch is a litre or two short but is 1048OG as opposed to my target 1044 OG. The fermentation is going excellently ( was left overnight at 20C, yeast is Wyeast 2278). I was thinking of added RO water to...

    A return to brewing...NEIPA?

I agree, the only thing is I think they have changed the profile of the water in my area and I’m 10-15% off of where I used to be. Mind you, my kit is looking rather tired as well.

    A return to brewing...NEIPA?

It certainly has the right body and feel in the mouth, and definitely hints of tropical fruit. There is some citrus aroma in the aroma ( I ended up mainly using Azecca and some Citra). The yeast I used was reported to take out some of esters and I think I will change the yeast next time and my...

    A return to brewing...NEIPA?

I’m interested to know peoples thoughts on whether to rack of into a secondary fermentor as I would usually do, or as I’ve seen elsewhere regarding NEIPAs, go straight to the keg from the primary fermentation. Thanks for all the advise by the way.

    A return to brewing...NEIPA?

Yes, I did consider that, was a little worried about not managing to separate the dregs out, especially as I don’t intend to use a secondary fermentor with it being an NEIPA.

    A return to brewing...NEIPA?

Well, my NEIPA is in the fermenter and the yeast appears very happy with a nice krausen. Soon I will be adding my 1st dry hop addition; I was going to stick my pellets in a hop bag and dump it on the top.....this might sound like a silly question but should I poke it thought he yeast layer or...

    A return to brewing...NEIPA?

Thank you very much for your replies. Yeast wise I’m thinking of going with one of the “funky” Norwegian multi strains. I think I might need to tinker with my kit 1st, in which case I will probably give 05 a try ( I’ve used it before and I do like it).

    A return to brewing...NEIPA?

Hi folks. Just started getting back into craft brewing having had 5 or 6 years off. Wow things have changed. Infact, it is the developments in American IPAs and NEIPAs that have inspired me. Looking to have a go at a NEIPA this weekend. I have a good selection of grain for the job but only have...
