some grain got through my overflow and stopped my pump. Will I be able to clear it out when I clean, or am I in bigger trouble than an easy fix?

thinking of using my immersion chiller in reverse so to speak... instead of placing it in the hot wort,, ill put it in a bucket of ice water and pump the wort through the chiller. replenishing the ice as needed. anyone ever try this? was it faster? i think this is going to be faster.
