    Kegging - Pin Lock vs Ball Lock

    Hey guys, I was just able to acquire 2 kegs from my brother's father in law. 1 is a pin lock and the other is a ball lock. I'd like to change out the posts so they are the same. Is there any advantage of 1 over the other? Any feedback would be appreciated... Thanks!

    It was my first time using a wort chiller so it was cooled. Not being mixed enough is definitely a possibility because I mixed the wort and water in a carboy and stirred using the siphon hose instead of the fermenting bucket and then siphoned it into the cylinder. Thanks!

    Yes it was a 5 gallon kit. So after the boil i added 2.5 gallons of springs water. Then got the high reading and added more water, remeasured and was still near 1.12ish. I added the yeast and it was bubbling pretty consistently the next morning. And last night it was like fireworks inside...
