    Strong Dark Belgian

I have some high alcohol tolerant saison yeast as a backup, normally the Kveik should be quite attenuative. I will keep you updated ;)

    Strong Dark Belgian

Hi! I am aiming at something between a Brown Leffe and Westvleteren 12, St. Bernardus 12 or Gouden Carolus Quad with a "strong" caramel flavour with a bit more body than normal for a quad. https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/935263/spacenaft Thank you for having a look, Greetings

    Recipe with my stock

Mabe something stronger, Belgian strong blond? Or abbey/dubbel/tripel. Last brew was an IPA and a hoppy saison so maybe not too hop forward this time. Quick and simple is key. Still early days in my brewing carreer. Maybe even a SMASH with light DME, never tried it? Forgot hops: Amarillo...

Ripped dh bag and forgot irish moss

I put it in secondary and outside in the cold for a couple of days (0-10°C), turned out almost crystal clear!

    Hoppy Saison

After some bottle conditioning it turned out ok! general malt flavour is good, head retention super, colour amazing but hop profile is a clashing a bit with the yeast notes (combined flavour is weird). Needs tuning but very drinkable!

    Recipe with my stock

Hi! Off work next couple of days and no brew shop open so might clean out the stock. I have a couple of things laying around but don't really know how to pick the right recipe. Preferably I want to use my light DME in combo with some steeping grains. Can't mill my grains because of corona...

Ripped dh bag and forgot irish moss

Hi Brewers, so, i forgot to add my irish moss to the kettle and I seem to have a ripped dry hop bag (primary). Would it be wise to add some boiled irish moss to secondary? Will it help to settle down the floating hop particles? Thanks!

    Medicinal taste/frustrating

Quick update: so my 'hoppy saison' which had the medicinal/bandage flavour has cleaned itself up a bit during primary (the off flavour was more present during the first days of ferm). It's still present but quite modest. It wasn't sticky or sirupy like my "quad" so I bottled a couple of bottles...

    Making IPA from Tripel Kit

Hey, quick question: would it be stupid to use a tripel kit (a can of LME) and ferment it with us-05 and then maybe dryhop to get a hoppy pale ale or IPA. Maybe for a "real" IPA i should add some hops during boil also. Will do a mini mash. I just don't trust myselve with fenolic tripel yeasts...

    Mash tun or biab?

thanks for replies! will convert a bevrage cooler when I can find one on the cheap. I do have a 10 gallon pot but it is made of aluminium. I did my first brew in this one but it discoulored a lot (and a metallic smell) and I read a lot of aluminium gets in to your "cooking". Better go for...

    Mash tun or biab?

Hello, Thinking about trying all grain without investing too much time and money. But can't decide between biab or a (small) mash tun. Atm i only have a 2,5 gal brewing pot for the biab. What do you recon? Keep cost and ease to use in mind. My purpose is brewing (a lot of) smaller batches (2,5...

    Basic IPA

haha where's the fun in that These are just the styles I like. But, i know you are right... Are you suggesting pale ale with the same method or even without steeping grains or mini mahs

    Basic IPA

Hello, so my belgian styles haven't been a big succes so I wanted to try something different. I composed this recipe: 2 hops, extract with mini mash. First IPA so it would be nice to have some feedback, thanks in advance. I'm looking for a medium hoppy clean slightly orangy/ambery IPA with a...
