    You are absolutely right. This recipe is fantastic and I agree it is better then Legends. I followed your recipe, with the exception of accidentally using Chocolate wheat malt instead of Chocolate malt. I am really enjoying this beer. Thank you, Mike

    Incomplete boil?

    Thank you everyone for the replies. I feel much better about the beer now. I was able to stay between 200 and 210 the majority of the time and my OG was spot on. Looks like i need a new regulator for the burner. Thanks again

    Incomplete boil?

    Last night I was brewing a Session IPA. Everything was going well until I got to the boil point and my burner decided not to cooperate. After about and hour and a half I was finally able to get a slight boil, but never reached a rolling boil. I decided to go ahead and do all my hop additions...

    Has anyone brewed the Brown Ale from Legends brewery in Richmond, VA?

    One of my all time favorite beers is the Brown Ale from Legends in Richmond, VA. I was wondering if anyone had a recipe for this beer? I've searched around but apparently the brewers are pretty tight lipped about this one. Thanks, Mike
