    Off flavors kegging?

No, that was the hefeweizen and is still good Received a lot of compliments on that beer (to your dismay?) and will be making my next batch the same way.

    Off flavors kegging?

Hey everyone, new to this. I have 4 beers i kegged about a month ago and they all are getting off flavors now like they are oxidizing. Anyone know why? I have constant CO2 on them, when trans from fermentation i used a long tube from fermenter spout and was simultaneously pumping co2 into the...

Best serving pressure for stout on nitro

Thanks, the blend was actually 25/75. I called a few bars and seems like the number is between 25 and 30 psi. I have it at 25 now and seems pretty good but thats also with a stout tap w diffuser plate.

Just curious what kind of results other guys have had. Im planning on 12psi @ 45F with a 30co2/70n2 blend.

    Watery Taste?

Yeah makes sense. Over the past hour i force carbonated them to the correct carbonation level on the scale (with correct hose length) the beers taste good now. Amazing how much different with Correct carbonation, they were way under carbonated earlier.

    Watery Taste?

So im getting ready to bottle my first few beers from kegs. Im tasting these beers and the flavors for the most part are good but they all have a watery kind of taste/feel to them. Any suggestions as to why and how to fix?

    Ridiculous Fermenter

So i cleaned off the krausen and here is where it is at, and its still not done. Didnt think id get 88% attenuation, this is going to be one strong hefeweizen. https://ibb.co/WgCJXv9

    Ridiculous Fermenter

Heres where it is now, the krausen is definitely messing with the tilt. Ive never seen so much krausen in my life. https://ibb.co/Wz2TLnY

Yeah good points, hopefully the pump does its job well. I can definitely hear it humming along.

    Ridiculous Fermenter

Here’s where its at now, almost 24 hours later. The fermentation was so ferocious that the temp went to 74F while i was sleeping. I was very surprised to see that 45F was not cold enough to keep it from going above 66F. I lowered the freezer to 40F and the temps started coming down. The temp has...

    Ridiculous Fermenter

Ill keep that combo in mind. I have tilts in all of the beers to keep track of their temps, so far they are keeping steady.

    Ridiculous Fermenter

Yeah i get it im way over complicating this. I really dont want a banana hefeweizen. The fermentation increases temp in my experience. If i leave to room ferment at say 72F the fermentation would get as high as 80F *maybe* spewing out banana esters (imperial G01) Although its not necessary, I'm...

    Ridiculous Fermenter

if you read through the thread you’ll see i answered most of what youre asking. The pump and heater are inside the wort. The weather here in philadelphia is in transition so to keep it in my garage it would get too warm. Im keeping it in the freezer at 45F because there are 4 other beers in...
